A Healing Church

I get a thrill every time I heard read from the desk, "This is a healing church." How true. From physical ills to relationships, to praying for the world, we put our religion into action. You can't sit on your duff and expect to see results. Prayer is an active, ongoing, individual job, one this church takes seriously as a collective whole. We know, as the Bible promises, that nothing is impossible with God. We've seen the truth of that promise.

Thanksgiving

Love this month, and the special Thanksgiving service held on Thanksgiving day. Reflecting on gratitude brings extra blessings, as it's hard to feel deprived when you can find even the smallest thing to be grateful for. Often, starting my gratitude list, it seems as if there's nothing I can write down, then the ideas and blessings I've received start snowballing, and I can't write fast enough. All my thanks go to God for all the goodness in the world.

We had an excellent turn out for the Wednesday Testamony meeting. It was the biggest crowd I've seen and the testimonies were realy motivating and inspiring.

A Healing Church

One of the things I love the most about Christian Science is its total focus on getting to know God better. Knowing God's control over my life, and the lives of everyone in the world, is total and unwavering, I find I can pray about the world's turmoil with peace and conviction. The way I see it, every time I affirm God's power and supremacy, I'm helping not only myself, but the world as well.
